From outside, the WeberHaus Twin houses in the World of Living don't look at all as though not yet quite ready. They are complete houses with a finished façade, roof, windows and doors. Only inside, you can see what still needs doing. And that's not very much. Depending on the level of completion chosen, the walls still need plastering and papering. A floor still needs to be laid. The top floor can be finished later, depending on the time available and the owner's budget and needs. This is the WeberHaus Twin principle. In the end, the house is ready for moving in, and the homeowner has helped build it.
The main attraction in finishing your home yourself, of course, is the big saving this brings, depending on the level of completion selected. But everyone who has had a hand in completing their TwinHouse says it was fun, too. Many have been astonished how much skill they were able to bring to the job. You don't have to be a pro to finish your own home.
In the WeberHaus Twin house at the World of Living you will see exactly what the individual finishing stages involve and how much work the owner-builders have to reckon with. DIY Days are organised regularly in the World of Living, so that you can learn the important tricks of the trade.
