WeberHaus employee Anna Carris’s passion is helping families realise their dream homes. It was only a matter of time before she and her partner embarked on their own self build project.
In 2021 they found a property ripe for redevelopment that ticked every box. “The location, the size, the development possibilities, and the neighbourhood were ideal.” Being well-acquainted with the company, Anna always knew her new home would be built by WeberHaus. “The ecological approach, high-quality finishes, and the vast choice of materials really impressed us. Ultimately, WeberHaus’s flexibility in bringing our vision to life clinched it.”
The couple opted for a bespoke design. “We planned our house with a great deal of love and dedication. It’s so relaxing to come home after a long day and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere.”
An essential consideration for the couple was the home’s energy concept. “We wanted manageable monthly running costs.” The superior insulation of the building shell minimises heat loss in winter and keeps the interior pleasantly cool in summer, reducing the need for additional heating or cooling. They installed a photovoltaic system with battery storage, allowing them to generate most of their own electricity. “After a year we can say that even with a living area of 400 m², our energy consumption is minimal.” Choosing the WeberLogic 2.0 smart home system was also an excellent decision, enhancing everyday comfort, security, and energy efficiency. “We use it to control lighting, heating and the building security sensors.” She especially values the security features, window and door sensors which show their status at any time, and the integrated alarm function offers peace of mind, when the house is empty.
The couple chose a minimalist, elegant exterior. “The clean lines, harmonious proportions, and thoughtful lighting concept give the building a calm, distinguished presence.” Standout features include the penthouse floor and the extensive glazing, seamlessly connecting indoors and out and offering fascinating views. The window frames, finished in refined anthracite, match the recesses of the house, creating a sense of depth.
Interior design and function are perfectly balanced. “We placed great importance on premium materials, precise workmanship, and a clear aesthetic.” On entering, the large marble-effect floor tiles immediately catch the eye. “We also opted for a higher storey height of 2.87 metres, which makes the rooms feel truly expansive.” The colour palette is understated, dominated by a stylish contrast of light and dark.
Their absolute favourite place is the split-level living room, which boasts a charming view of the garden. “It’s our haven for relaxation and retreat.” With their strikingly designed villa, Anna and Paul Carris have realised a long-held ambition. “To fulfil our dream by building a WeberHaus means a great deal to us.”
