WeberHaus Strengthens Its Market Position Despite Challenging Conditions

Successful Financial Year for Prefabricated Home Manufacturer

Rheinau-Linx/Wenden-Hünsborn, 14 July 2026. WeberHaus looks back on a successful financial year 2025 despite a continued challenging market environment. The prefabricated home manufacturer generated revenue of €318 million. The moderate decline in revenue of around 8% had been strategically anticipated: production at the Rheinau-Linx facility was temporarily suspended in January 2025 to allow for the installation of two additional robotic cells in the horizontal wall manufacturing area. Through these investments, WeberHaus is further strengthening the efficiency, quality and long-term future viability of its production operations.

In addition to single-family homes, the company also recorded positive growth in the multi-unit and commercial building segment, which accounted for approximately 5.3% of total revenue. International business contributed 5% of overall revenue.

WeberHaus currently employs 1,299 people, including 59 apprentices. Of these, 920 employees work at the Rheinau-Linx headquarters, while 293 employees are based at the Wenden-Hünsborn site. A further 86 employees work in sales and at the World of Living visitor and experience centre.

“2025 was a strong financial year for WeberHaus. The demand for home ownership remains strong,” says Stephan Jager, Chief Financial Director at WeberHaus.

“At the same time, we are seeing significantly longer decision-making processes as a result of ongoing political and economic uncertainty. We are therefore particularly pleased to have further strengthened our market position.”

The enduring desire for home ownership is also highlighted by the Interhyp Housing Aspirations Study 2025. According to the study, 97% of respondents consider having a beautiful home to be important, making home ownership the second most important life goal after health.

Despite the planned production shutdown at the beginning of the year, WeberHaus delivered a very positive overall business performance. In recognition of the outstanding commitment of its employees, the company awarded a profit-sharing bonus.

Prefabricated Homes Continue to Gain Market Share
The construction industry showed the first signs of recovery in 2025. Order intake developed positively, although labour shortages and continued cost pressures remain key challenges for the sector. Looking ahead, moderate but stable growth is expected in the coming years.

Timber-frame prefabricated construction performed particularly well. According to the German Prefabricated Building Association (BDF), 13,473 permits were issued for prefabricated single- and two-family homes in Germany, representing an increase of 16.7% compared to the previous year. As a result, the market share of prefabricated homes reached a new all-time high of 26.5%.

Demand for prefabricated homes remains particularly strong in Baden-Württemberg, where they account for more than 40% of all approved single- and two-family homes. Hessen follows closely behind, underlining the continued popularity of off-site construction in southern Germany.

WeberHaus also benefited from this market development. In 2025, incoming orders increased once again, significantly exceeding the company’s own targets. Alongside the dedication and commitment of its sales team, the marketing activities surrounding WeberHaus’s 65th anniversary played a key role in driving this success. Further momentum was generated in April 2025 with the opening of three new show homes at the World of Living. The compact housing range OPTION proved particularly popular. Throughout the year, the range was expanded with additional designs, most recently with the introduction of a two-storey model featuring a two-storey extension. By adding these new show homes, WeberHaus reinforced its focus on compact, future-oriented housing solutions. The strong response was also evident in a significant increase in visitors at the World of Living in Rheinau-Linx.

Another important milestone was reached in 2025 with the completion of the 41,000th WeberHaus home. This special achievement was celebrated together with the homeowners and the company’s management.

Investments Strengthen Future Competitiveness
Alongside positive market developments, WeberHaus invested approximately €6 million in the future of the company. One of the most significant projects in 2025 was the expansion of the automated production facilities in Rheinau-Linx. To enable the installation of two additional robotic cells, production was temporarily and strategically suspended in January 2025.

With the new systems now in operation, WeberHaus has further enhanced the efficiency, quality and long-term competitiveness of its manufacturing processes, while creating the foundation for future growth. At the same time, the family-owned company continues to invest in innovation, advanced technologies and modern workplaces for its employees.

Reliable Policy Frameworks Remain Essential
Despite the first signs of recovery, WeberHaus believes that further political action is required. While Germany’s new federal government has announced a number of positive initiatives, many of the industry’s expectations have only been partially addressed so far. In particular, additional progress is needed on the proposed “Bau-Turbo” and the introduction of attractive support measures for homebuilders.

Together with industry partners, WeberHaus continues to emphasise that timber-based prefabricated construction can play a key role in reducing building costs while helping to achieve climate targets in the construction sector. To unlock this potential, existing barriers must be removed and support for new-build and renovation projects must be designed to provide long-term reliability and planning certainty.
